Frequently Asked Questions

I know shipping original artwork can be expensive, and I don’t want the cost of shipping to be a reason you hesitate to bring home a piece you love. I’m always happy to work with you to find the safest and most affordable shipping option for your artwork.
Each piece is carefully packaged in archival glassine and protected for its journey. Shipping costs vary depending on the size of the artwork and its destination, so shipping will be calculated and charged when your piece is ready to ship.
If you’re local, you’re welcome to arrange studio pickup, and occasional local delivery may be available. If you have questions or concerns about shipping, please feel free to reach out. I’m happy to talk through the options with you!

The word print has traditionally referred to artwork made through printmaking processes, such as etching, woodcut, or monoprinting. These techniques involve creating an image on a surface, such as a carved block or etched plate, and transferring it onto paper. Each print is made through a hands-on process in the studio.
A giclée (pronounced zhee-clay) is a high-quality reproduction of an original artwork, made using specialized printing technology and archival inks to capture the color, detail, and depth of the original.
My giclée prints are made from my original paintings and printed locally here in Asheville on thick, softly textured, acid-free watercolor paper. I choose the paper and printing process to capture the character and richness of the original artwork as faithfully as possible. The archival inks and quality materials are selected for their longevity.
While a giclée is a reproduction rather than an original painting or a hand-pulled printmaking edition, it offers a way to bring the color, imagery, and feeling of my paintings into your home at a more accessible price.

My paintings are priced by the square inch. Medium-sized and large-sized paintings typically fall around $3.50 per square inch.
Smaller works vary a bit more in price, depending on the materials, surface, and techniques involved. I work across a range of mediums, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, and printmaking, on surfaces such as paper, wood, and canvas. Each piece is priced individually to reflect the work that goes into it.
If you have a question about the price of a particular painting, please feel free to get in touch!

I believe you should be able to live with the artwork you love. If a painting has found its way into your heart but feels like a stretch to purchase all at once, I’m happy to offer a flexible payment plan. Just get in touch, and we can work out an arrangement that feels comfortable for both of us.

I offer complementary Photoshop mockups using a photo of your space so you can see how the artwork may look in your home. Local collectors are also welcome to borrow a painting in order to experience it in your space before making a final decision at no extra cost.

Yes! After a few years away from commissions, I’ve recently opened up a limited number of opportunities to create paintings in collaboration with you.
I love the idea of making artwork that holds a personal story. We can work together to create something inspired by a place you love, a family photograph, or a meaningful memory. I can also incorporate personal details like a loved one’s handwriting or elements of a family heirloom, weaving them into a painting in a way that feels natural to my work.
My hope is to create something that feels both uniquely yours and like a painting in its own right, something you’ll connect with and want to live with for years to come.
If you have an idea, even if you’re not quite sure how to bring it to life, I’d love to hear about it. We can talk through the possibilities together.
