Acrylic, pencil, and mixed media on cradled panel
12" x 12" (just under 13" x 13" framed)
Framed in a solid maple floater frame
A pale sun glows through morning haze above a quiet stretch of water, with soft hills barely visible on the far shore. In the lower corner, blue wildflowers and grasses are drawn in fine, delicate detail, all turned toward the light. A narrow green border of patterned diamonds runs along the right edge, like a window or doorway onto the scene. The layered, textured surface gives the light a chalky, weathered warmth, as if the moment has been remembered as much as observed.
